Our Impact on rural schools

In 2010, the Government of Uganda, through the Ministry of Education and Sports, introduced Computer Studies as one of the subjects to be taught in schools. This initiative was quickly adopted by many urban schools. However, a major challenge remains in rural areas, where most communities lack access to electricity, making it difficult to teach computer studies in these schools.

As ``RSLCU,`` we have partnered with rural schools that lack electricity and computers to help learners acquire essential computer skills. Through this partnership, we are working with 30 schools, both primary and secondary, that cannot afford to purchase computers. Our goal is to ensure that learners in these schools are equipped with the necessary computer skills for their future.

Through this partnership, we have organized several workshops aimed at equipping teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to teach ICT effectively. By empowering teachers, we hope to create a lasting impact on the quality of computer education in rural schools.
